In many ancient texts, Bodhi Seed malas are called the "king of all malas." They are the most versatile of all mala types and are extremely potent in practice, good for pacifying, increasing, magnetizing and destroying within Sacred Ceremony. While many types of seeds are called “Bodhi Seeds,” the Phoenix-eye beads are extremely sought after for their known potency and are increasingly rare to locate. They have become more expensive over time as many of the Nepalese groves (in the Namo Buddha area) have now been acquired by the Chinese. These specific high quality, old stock Bodhi Seed malas were made prior to the Chinese acquisition of the groves. Beads of this caliber, size and quality are becoming exceedingly scarce and are very precious allies in Sacred Practice.
